Albion Park Quarry

The Cleary Bros Albion Park Quarry Community Consultative Committee is seeking a new Community Representative.
The Committee meets three times a year and provides a forum for open discussion between Cleary Bros, Shellharbour City Council, local residents and other stakeholders about quarry operations, environmental performance and community relations.
We’re inviting expressions of interest from people who:

• live, work or own land in the Shellharbour LGA
• have a reasonable understanding of the Albion Park Quarry and related issues
• can represent and communicate local community interests
• are willing to follow the Committee’s code of conduct

To apply, please complete the nomination form on the NSW Planning website and submit it, along with your supporting letter, to the Independent Chairperson by 5pm, 31 January 2025.

Cleary Bros’ Albion Park Quarry has been the company’s main source of hard rock since the 1960s. 

Development consent was granted on 29 September 2023 to continue operation of the quarry into the "Stage 7" area. Cleary Bros are currently extracting from Stage 7a of the development in accordance with State Significant Development consent SSD10369.

Cleary Bros has prepared a Heritage Interpretation Plan to allow members of the community to connect with the 'Belmont' into the future. Click here to access the Heritage Interpretation Plan.
