Windang Bridge Scour Remediation Works

Cleary Bros have been engaged by Roads and Maritime Services to undertake scour remediation works around the piers of Windang Bridge at the entrance to Lake Illawarra. The project involves the supply and careful placement of over 5000 tonnes of armour rock around the piers of the bridge using barge-mounted excavators, while maintaining full traffic flow over this busy arterial road.

With previous experience undertaking scour protection works on sensitive sites, Cleary Bros has adapted the project to ensure minimal impacts to sensitive Aboriginal sites, seagrass meadows, and sensitive riparian sites, all while minimising impacts to the community and navigation channels.
