Cleary Bros wins Building and Construction Award at the Annual 2011 Origin Energy Illawarra Business Awards.

Held in November each year the Awards recognise business excellence across a range of industries from the five local government areas in the Illawarra and South Coast regions. The presentation night was a gala event held at the Wollongong Entertainment Centre where prizewinners were announced.

As a first-time entrant, Cleary Bros were successful as the winner of their category for "Building and Construction" for 2011.

The criteria for the Award was very broad and involved a detailed assessment of Cleary Bros' construction work over the last twelve months including the safety and environmental record as well as competitive advantages to build on successes over the next 3-5 years.

Cleary Bros' CEO - Bob Elvy accepted the award on behalf of the company and stated that "Cleary Bros recognises that a large part our longstanding success comes from the tremendous effort made by all of our valued staff, and the priority they constantly give to the efficient service of our customers. Cleary Bros has always prided itself on fostering a culture of quality service and business excellence."

He also noted how proud Cleary Bros was of its continuing and significant contributions to a wide range of community and charitable organisations and activities over a long period of time.
