Does Cleary Bros construct houses or buildings?

No, not in the sense of a builder or developer designing and constructing a building. Cleary Bros supplies construction services during the build such as concrete and quarry materials. We also prepare subdivisions of greenfield sites ready for building construction.

What type of construction work do you provide?

We specialise in a range of civil construction services such as bulk earthworks, subdivisions, roadworks and remediation works.  We also undertake complex wetland construction requiring technical expertise, such as the wetland at Myimbarr in Shellharbour which was recognised with an award for environmental excellence at the NSW Case Earth Awards. We have extensive experience in other works as well, including sand dune restoration, revetment works and more.

What areas does your construction work take place in?

Our projects can take us to the Central Coast, all of the Sydney region, the Southern Highlands, South Coast, ACT and Illawarra areas.

Do you have your own estimators?

Cleary Bros Civil Construction division has an experienced team of Estimators who work collaboratively with our project managers to ensure a smooth changeover from tender to project works.

What sort of back up do you have machinery wise?

Cleary Bros is an integrated company with divisions that supply and support the construction industry. Our Civil Construction division has the full support of our Earthmoving division (which has over 200 pieces of plant), our quarry division for rock and sand supplies, and our transport division which ensures efficient and timely material delivery. 

Who do you primarily contract to?

Cleary Bros provides services to government bodies such as the RMS, State Rail and NSW Ports. We also work for many local government councils in a number of locations.  Additionally, Cleary Bros is often the Principal contractor to a range of developers such as Lend Lease and Fraser Property (formerly Australand) along with private developers. We also undertake large scale sub-contracts for tier one contractors such Fulton Hogan for the Albion Park Rail bypass project.

I understand Cleary Bros reclaimed land at Port Kembla Outer Harbour, what did that involve?

Cleary Bros was contracted by the Port Corporation to reclaim six hectares of land.  This job was completed in 2011 and involved a number of our resources including our civil construction team, our earthmoving equipment and a variety of quarry materials suitable for bunding and land fill.  Because the project involved working with water in the outer harbour, Cleary Bros worked closely with regulators throughout the project.
